For many years Relab den Haan's plant pathology department is performing
determinations in the field of fungi, bacteria, viruses and nematodes.
The mission of this department is to service you as grower as soon as possible with information about what is going on in your crop and to look for a solution for your problem.

As a routine laboratory Relab den Haan is the first to introduce the DNA multiscan in the field of agriculture/horticulture.
With the DNA methodology we are able to detect and identify pathogens in many different sources. Until now it was only possible to do this for just one pathogen at a time and for a limited number of pathogens. With the DNA multiscan Relab den Haan is able to determine 38 pathogens with one single test.
DNA multiscan
Relab den Haan Introduces its new product: a breakthrough in agriculture: the DNA multiscan.

The DNA multiscan: With a single test we can analyse quick and precise which plant pathogens are present in your water, seed, plant material or soil
.
The advantages of the DNA multiscan in comparison with the classical analysis are:
The general application and advantages of DNA multiscan are:

Unique in the world:
The DNA multiscan is the key to a healthy crop and a better control of diseases during cultivation.
Some practical applications are:
  • Quick: Diagnosis in 2 days.
  • Specific: Only the target fungus will react.
  • Very sensative: Only a single spore will be enough for a diagnosis.
  • Usable in different media: Crop, seed, soil, water and substrates for example.
  • Multiplex test: With just one test/analysis 38 fungi can be detected. Check this site for a list of pathogens on the DNA multiscan membrane.
  • Quantative method: It indicates the level of infection.
  • Preventive actions can be taken: An early diagnosis enables you to take (preventive) actions.
  • Higher quality of your crop: Early action enables you to avoid growth reduction and loss of your crop.
  • Saving of fungicides: By a targeted preventive application with the correct chemicals you can save the environment and avoid a high use of fungicides.
  • Testing of drainage water in general
  • Testing of drainage water for and after disinfection
  • Testing of growing media
  • Testing of young plants
  • Testing of infected plant material
